First attempt at birds in flight!

Hi

I decided to try something new, and shoot some birds in flight yesterday.

Any C+C and general advice on these is much appreciated, because I'm really trying to push myself out of my comfort zone (ie auto mode and subjects that don't move!).

All shot with a Canon 40D and Canon 70-210 zoom.

Good efforts Greg, Gulls are great for practising BIF. The main points for BIF is to shoot in AI servo mode and make sure you have sufficient shutter speed - with your 210mm I would aim for around 1/800 sec or quicker.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try using a faster shutter next time ( those were shot at 1/500).
