Beginner First real trial of the Nikon D500 and 200-500mm

Shows the combination off very well, love the flowered surroundings :)
 
You've got yourself a great combo there Jason, you must have I have the same one lol, a good start here, I use bbf for bif, and have the joy-pad controller set for 25-point dynamic-area AF , for clear background bif, and the AF-ON on single point when there is distractions on flying birds or for shooting stationary birds, you switch between them on the fly, hope that helps you a bit, it's still click, click,click until it becomes second nature :)
 
Thanks guys. Yes I use BBF with single point on the BB and group4 on the joystick. I know there are other settings I need to get familiar with so its a good start. Im pleased.

Not a "beginer" as such then ? :-(
 
Beginner with wildlife, and this camera, and this lens. All pretty much new to me. Im normally comfortable with landscape and Aircraft.
 
Really nice images. I’m currently thinking of ways to fund that combo.
