I like that Keith..definitely got to get over the lake with you soon..can never get anywhere near the herons at my local spots..

erm, let's see; cropped yes, and used Canon 70-300 IS zoom.
 
Very nice, i wonder if some local ones are using same nest site, didnt have anycamera when they were mating the other year, (what they doing daddy)???
 
Were your heron shots at mount farm by any chance? I went there today for the 1st time, was really impressed by the amount of herons nesting on that island! Dad fishes there quite often and mum always tells me about the herons so thought i'd take a look :)

This was taken at Willen Lake, looking accross to the island.
Always seem to see something different there when I go (y)
 
I havent been to Willen since last summer, will have to give it a try sometime :) thanks
