I was amazed by the noise these make as they take off, facinating to watch.

I was watching swans today while out dog walking. Didn't want to go too close incase the dogs and swans ended up disagreeing lol. They get well fed at our local loch and so tend to approach humans readily and with confidence. Can be off-putting given that they stand about 4 ft tall!

Know what you mean about the wing noise - could hear it from the other side of the loch!

Love the way your pictures show them running on the water. No.5 is a classic swan pose and a favourite

One good thing about the noise they make is that you can tell what they are doing so that you don't miss the shot. #2 really shows the energy required for take-off!

Nice try. But they all look out of focus, and noisey to my eyes. Not trying to knock you down, or anything. Just saying what I see.:shrug:
