I personally feel the highlights and shadows have been evened out too much - it has ended up looking unrealistic and not as dramatic as It could have. Also, I'm not sure what lens you were using here, but assuming it's a 70-300mm 4-5.6, I would have kept it at 5.6 to isolate the subjects more

Well, these stand out fine to me. I especially like No.4.it's dramatic.

I really like number four but totally get what lightphonics means, it is almost as though a subject like this needs Rain and mud and less saturation to portray the gravity of the content but having said that they look fine but the only thing that keeps drawing my eye is the pair of legs and boots in the bottom right of shots two and three also the gun barrel on the left.
