Four-spotted Chaser in flight

Keen to try my new 7D with my favourite challenge - dragonflies in flight - I managed to catch these male Four-spotted Chaser.

Both taken with Canon 300m F4 L with 25mm extension tube using AF point expansion on the 7D.

Thanks everyone, it was very hard work, but worth it in the end.

Les - don't worry this is normal, they'll be back in a week of two. The Scarce Chaser you have seen will have changed colour from orange (in your photos) to blue though!
