In response to a request on one of the Fuji threads I have taken (more or less) the same shot at (more or less) the same time on my three different Fuji bodies, each using the same Fuji 56mm lens. The shots are in Raw straight from camera, through Lightroom 5 with a little bit of sharpening added, and exported to Flickr at full resolution. No other adjustments. I used aperture priority, letting the camera meter the exposure. Two sets were outside portraits so conditions and exposures varied marginally between frames. WB was set to auto. The two portrait sets were at f1.2, the flower shot at f2.

The set of nine pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ianvecchi/sets/72157642049116824/

I have labelled the shots in a batch A, B and C with EXIF stripped (I think). Shots denoted A are not necessarily from the same camera. I will change the titles later on to reveal the body used.

Disclaimer - I only did these as a favour to somebody who asked for them, I am not a serious tester and given I have to hide the fact that I now have three largely identical cameras from my wife I had to do these in a hurry. Take from them what you will, even if that is absolutely nothing!

Now I have to go and look at the pics to decide which one to sell.

Hi Ian

Many thanks for posting the comparison shots between these bodies. I have looked briefly at the "big picture" and apart from one image, which is a bit over-exposed so might be a metering thing, I think the DR and resolving power of these bodies is very, very similar.

Perhaps that is no great surprise but it is still very good to confirm.

I will have a go at pixel peeping later.

Many thanks again for your endeavors on this. To me, I think this has confirmed that an XE-1 will be absolutely fine as a second body.

Without pixel peeping and for no particular reason other than it is slightly richer in colour and looks less washed out than the other two, I prefer picture B in sample 3. There is no discernible difference in the rest of the shots (to my eye anyway).
