Gannets bringing nest material

The shots i went for initially ,getting the birds coming in to the cliff face with nesting material ,plenty of flight shots but not many birds coming in with nesting material Gannet by den9112, on FlickrGannet with nest material by den9112, on Flickr

Another good pair, may I ask what lens you were using?

One without , i was using either the 400mm 5.6 or the 300mm f4 its all i own Gramps and the 400mm 5.6 is taped up with duck tape and a elastic band Gannet April 19th by den9112, on Flickr

Fine set Dennis. Interesting and well exposed.

I think it's often difficult to appreciate just how large Gannets are but for some reason, these do seem to convey the scale.

They are a rather large bird,it was fun watching the guys with the 600mm and 500mm lenses ,i even had to stand back a good twenty feet at times to catch them coming over the edge with a 300mm
