Garden Shots (testing new lens) - Now Includes Jack Frost :)

Had a new lens yesterday (50mm f/1.8) so had a little test in the garden.

It was getting late so light was abit rubbish but here are a few I like. Like to hear what you think. This is the 1st time ive used a prime lens and do shots like this

Have to work a little more with composition by moving around rather than zooming buts definitely a "must have" lens. Have fun

Ye i cant wait for lighter days so can get more practice after work. And these are only using 50mm lens so no zooming

Just wondering where you focused as both look blurred to me.

I don't think its focusing, looks like some slight camera shake, specially as the nifty fifty has no IS

it is slight camera shake due it getting quite dark quick and me rushing just to test the lens

The second set are far better.

How do you find your first prime? Looking at a 50mm myself

Really good. The limited AF on the camera can make it a pain so had to get the frost shot with doing it manually. Cant wait to go out in the car and see what i can do with it in different places.

Would recommend it to anyone who hasnt got one
