Wild Getting ready for the fish pass

I took this shot yesterday and after hearing the calls from the male I had a idea he was not far away, he came in with the fish and stood proudly waiting for the female to turn up,were you can just make her out with beak open in the background View attachment 36538

I was determined I wasn't going to spend to much time this year with the birds ,but when you spend all year round observing them and you start getting shots its hard not to go back.....and they do take up a lot of time as I have to be in the hide before first light and it means a very early get up

I am currently on holiday in Norfolk Dennis - been up at 4am for the last 2 days and will be for most of the week.

Up and out to various nature reserves before the sun comes up.

Back for breakfast at 10am then out with she-who-must-be-obeyed

I have been invited to Norfolk for some birding at the end of the month ,I was due to go out with someone called Karl ,forgot his surname at the moment but he's well known over their ,i am looking forward to it as its a freebie
