Was out with the 600mm AIS, and this little chappie came really close. Typically I didn;t have the 70-300 VR, but given the circumstances, (mf,ME etc) I'm dead pleased. Edited in Aperture as well.

Good catch Lawrence. It is surprising how close they will come, almost to the point of a 50mm would do the job :LOL:

Nice shots Lawrence.
They are inquisitive little birds and as Rich said come up quite close to you.
I have one in my garden that sometimes looks as if he may land beside me.
