Another image from a few years back taken at St Mary's Island again. You often find seal pups here in the winter as there is a breeding colony on the nearby Farne Island's.
I gave this a wide berth as may look cute but they pack a nasty bite, so was glad of my 500MM....

Lovely shot, very emotional eyes they have.
 
Nice one. What time if day do you see them most. I have been down a few times recently and not spotted any.
 
Thanks for the kind words. Andrew they just turn up randomly so you never can put a time to them.
