Well.. I hope that it is male catkins on Common Hazel ( Corylus avellana )..
But it might actually be Alder, as I remember seing some around the area..
 
The buds still have that purple hue which is typical of Alder

I see.. Thanks for the info, man.. Much appreciated. I am more of an "herptile"-guy, so I´m lacking on info on trees and plants.. But.. A good day, is a day when you learn something new, right..

Thanks! The Elmia is quite large, isn´t it? Haven´t been there myself, but heard about it.
 
Yes there is always something new to learn.
I spent 3 days at Elmia & did not get to see all I wanted. One day I would like to go to Elmia again. We have much to learn from Scandanavia about forestry.
