Shot taken last night in the pub. I don't normaly take photos this close to a subject but could not resist asking this gent if I could take his picture from the other side of the table.

That is an awesome portrait. I need to pluck up the courage to ask more people on the street to do portraits.

Works for me but the water mark is in just the wrong place.

I know the water mark does not add to the picture. I have learnt my lesson regarding not water marking my pictures. I have had my pictures used without permission too many times.

Great shot - and you're absolutely right about the watermark - sad that's it's needed - but it is. You have to protect your work.

I hate watermarks - far too distracting and I never use them

I really like it, was it bounce light to the back left of the camera?
I think the unevenness in the light really makes the shot, makes him look madder

The lighting was a speedlite with a diffuser on held in my left hand about 18inch away from his face. Camera in right hand.
