I'm new on this site and new to photography in general. These are the first real pictures from my new Christmas present; only just getting to grips with the camera. No post processing has been performed. Any comments very welcome.

The camera will try to expose for an average grey scene so you need to over expose snow to get it looking white.... which is why the exposure looks better in the second one and has some white snow.

Think I'd have changed the viewpoint in #1 to have the fence run from the bottom left corner and dissappear on a third. Like the compositions in 2 and 3.

Eh up another one from Chorley welcome to the forum mate, Im just down the road in Leyland when im not working

2nd shot is the best for me, good creative use of depth of field to blur the background, nicely composed too with the rule of thirds
