Hello and welcome, I'm in Northants too, not massively sure on locations though - having moved here from the Yorkshire Coast I find it an incredibly boring county for landscapes but Sywell CP can be popular to start with

How about checking out the rich canal heritage we have in the Midlands?
Stoke Bruerne has old locks and a museum and Braunston [my nearest village ] is at the hub of the canal network and there's always something to see there.
