Hmmm. Not more from Chester Zoo!

Well, here's my top set from Chester Zoo. First trip out with the new (to me) 1Ds MK II. All pics taken with that and Canon 500 f/4L IS. I'm pretty happy with the results considering the weather. Was worth carting the kit around all day...

I tried to get a few different things so there are more birds than I would normally take.

1. Condor

2. Condor close up - (2x extender so 1000mm f/8 at 1/160s)

3. Komodo Dragon (this one is actually with the 70-200 f/2.8)

4. Egret (Little Egret?)

5. Egret again

6. Spoonbill

7. Another Spoonbill

8. How many Spoonbills?

9. And again...

10. Getting bored yet?

Great shots Love the jaguar ones! with number 14 being a big fav. Love the focus bang on the eys on the Komodo Dragon too

Thanks Ian and JL. Looks like my web host was down temporarily.

Looking at them on my calibrated laptop, they look a bit flat. I've just got a new monitor and I reckon it's too bright at the moment. I may have to have another go at them tomorrow once the new screen is calibrated.

no. 14 is my favourite Jaguar shot but like all of them.

But also like nos. 10 & 12.

Great set of pictures you have there, number 14 has to be my personal favorite! My cat does that to my foot all the time!

2 and 16 for me, Mr Condor looks like he's wearing a quilted smoking jacket (ooh, pun anyone :nuts and the last one of the Jag could have been taken in the jungle, brilliant shot
