Here are some shot from yesterday morning that I grabbed before going to owrk.

Here is a hover fly and as far as I can tell it is Eupeodes corollae but I am happy to be corrected

Nice - Especially like the detail in the eyes of the first and last.

No 1 is superb for clarity and No 2 for getting it all in shot, No 3 & 4 are also super hoverflie shots.

Cracking shots Alf. Can't beat Honeys and Hovers.

I would certainly look at lifting the lights and shadows a touch for your honey bees and als reduce the colour temperature a touch. Your hovers are spot on.

The WB is set at daylight and the sedum colours are about right but I do take your point about lightening having seen yours.

I tend to shoot at a set Kelvin of 5200. Even with that, I still tend to reduce it a little more in post processing. It's all down to personal preference of course, so if you're happy, I'm happy .

All are good but the last one wins it for me for light and contrast.
