Humpback Whales

I was lucky enough to see 4 different humpbacks on a recent trip to Iceland. I was torn between taking photos and just standing in awe of them. So much so, that when one breached, I failed to lift the camera...

Amazing thing to witness. The beauty of photography is that you can relive the awe you felt time and time again. #4 is my favourite.

It's extremely rare i use the video on my camera, but I think this is a time I would.

A lovely set, however the second is a hands down winner for me.

A great set number 2 just edges it for me.

I was there in 2013 and did a second trip just to watch.

Wow!! What a sight that must have been!

For me #1 is a winner, simplistic and minimalistic but still quite obvious what it is. Only thing I would do would be to clone the bird out along with the darker line just above it to the RH edge of the frame. #4 is great too, almost abstract!

Humpbacks are my ultimate whale photo, especially a breaching whale. I saw minkes in iceland and sperm whales in NZ, but no humpbacks either. if i had more money i'd be off to Silverbank to do this! http://consciousbreathadventures.com/

nice stuff percy
