My wife thinks it looks like it is in the Geranium family (Cranesbill) or a close relative. Blue anthers are unusual apparently. This was the closest image she could find on the Internet. She found this page from a book about North American plants which mentions occasional blue anthers on wild geraniums.
It is more of a pale blue, growing on an open are of grass on the estate I live on. Unfortunately when I came home last night the grass had been mown so I couldn't try to get an image with more accurate colour. It isn't growing all over, just in one spot, it's not very common.
