Thank you everyone. I'm sad to say my kit 18-55mm kit lens which came with my D3100.

No reason really, just wish I could be able to afford more strings to my bow as it were. It isn't the best lens, and it can be really frustrating only having 55mm. That said, I still love my photography, and as I've only been doing it for 6 months, I can't really complain about not having all the equipment :nikon:

Well in this case that lens is just fine, you can get the 55-200mm vr for around £100 second hand and is pretty good
