Just a couple of first timer family shots

Good afternoon all,

I just thought it was about time a shared a couple of shots a month or so ago. I'm not one for portrait work, but on this day at the beach we just had some perfect winter light, so before our trip to get some fish and chips i decided to take a couple of snaps. These are naturally lit and i used the Canon 1Ds3 coupled to a Canon 70-200 f4 IS.

Very open to comments or criticisms.

1st shot is of my beautiful lady. I shot this from the beach looking up to her on a rocky pier

2nd shot is of my lovely step daughter.

Agreed, in the second shot I believe it woudl have been improved by looking at the camera.
