Things have been a little quiet on the photo front, but after a family trip to Whipsnade at the weaken, I thought I'd share a few from the day. Please feel free to comment and critique. I have tried a slightly different processing style for me and would like to know everyones thoughts are.

I quite like 1 & 4 for the processing and the actual shot for the latter too, but the others make me think they were a lazy attempt at selective colouring (which I'm sure they're not ;) )

You're right they're not. I started by looking at B & W, I then quite liked the effect and hint of colour that dropping the vibrance gave

That would be 2/3/5, specifically.
But I do see what you were trying to do :)

But also I'm really not keen on Mono animals per se TBH.
Its not just yours, honest ;)

That's better :D

But I think maybe you've been just a little heavy handed with the sharpen.
It kinda works OK like that, on the mono and "tinting"
Not so on the colour versions I feel though?

I think that's come from Flickr because I hardly moved the sharpen slider. I'm looking at my iPad now and it looks different to what it does in Lightroom on my Mac

Flickr does seem to mess with the sharpen at times, somewhat,
sometimes its "soft" sometimes its OTT.

Your not the first to note that and I'm sure you won't be the last.

Chris, compositionally I like them, but the first selection, colourwise, isn't floating my boat :(
I do like the BW versions though, very much. :)
For some reason I can't see the colour versions posted for the snake.....I'm clearly not Speshul enough :(

Yeay!! OOoohh I do like the colour ones....especially #2.
I really do love Spike's expression in #3. He looks like someone just held a small poo under his nose and he caught a whiff

Thanks Ruth, I know what you mean about no. 3. I wasn't sure if he wasn't attempting to pose for everyone staring at him through the glass. Either that or he had a bad case of wind which had just cleared :)
