Hi all,

Went for a walk up Kinder Scout yesterday. Changeable weather, but a nice day all the same.

Can people give me their honest opinion on these? They are layered photos from two exposures blended in PS just using brush tools. I think it's a pretty crude technique.

Shot with a Canon 30D and the 18-55 kit lens, so pretty old gear by the usual standards!

Hi Colin. I think they are under exposed. The compositions are all a bit 'meh' too. Although the view is nice, they seem to lack a real anchor for the viewer to look at. The dark cloud entering the frame in #1 looks like an ink stain and is quite distracting. I also find the big expanse of cloud in #3 too much. The rocks in #2 seem to have some nice light on them but again, the composition is a little off as they block the view into the distance.

Just my opinion bud so feel free to tell me to STFU. :D

No 1 crop top and left hand side
No 2 crop top!
No 3 crop top and left again ! Not bad images! Just need bit of post processing! Cloud bit too overbearing
