Beginner Kingfisher

This is the closest I can get to him at any time. I think I am unlikely to get much better pictures until I get my DSLR, The bridge seems to struggle to focus at full zoom.

were these taken recently? i have a couple spots at which ive heard kingfishers show but not seen yet. what time of day were they taken?

Well spotted - love Kingfishers - gave it an hour at my 'usual' spot today with no luck

Only comment (which you can't really help), is the blade of grass is really unfortunate!!!.... you could always give it a bit of a clone though - quick effort - though I appear to have made him fatter too :|

They were taken and posted on the same day. They are out all day here and only go back to the nest to drop food off and come back out. They are very active.

That looks great. I haven't really taught myself to clone yet, but I will eventually.
