great panning in this shot also like the slow shutter to blur the wings just enough. very good technique, and shot.

What makes it is that the eye is razor sharp

I have looked at this for a while now and, this is only my opinion I hasten to add, that image is probably the best, most natural red kite image that I have seen on here.

I must also add that to pan it as you have and keep the eye razor sharp, shows great skill.
