That's a nicely composed shot but needs some processing IMO. A contrast boost and a sharpen would help it out a lot. I'd also be very tempted to try it in B&W.
Now I've had a little time to look at it, play with it and manipulate it in many ways, I cant seem to get away from the fact that it blends too much with the background. As it's not far from where I live, I'm going to return and take more pictures and play with the settings on the camera to achieve the picture I want, maybe lower the DoF or even approach the subject from a totally different angle.
It'll certainly be a good way to learn and get a better grip of both the camera and the subject.
