I like both of these Tom but #1 just gets the vote, there seems to be a little distortion on #2. Have you applied some subtle HDR to these?

Thanks, yes there is a fair bit of distortion. It was shot at 16mm. Another shot I took looked like the car had been squashed between 2 tanks!

Very slight HDR,yes. I tried not to overdo it, just bring out a bit of texture.

I thought it might be the lens/focal length, at 16mm its to be expected. I do like these wide angle shots. Your HDR is very subtle and well applied. I will admit here that i do like HDR pretty much in all forms if I am being honest.

Mine will look like that soon. Possibly going to Salisbury next week, and got a self drive at Eastnor Castle for Xmas in March.

Hiya, we are going to Sailsbury this Wednesday (28th) for 3 days, greenlaning down from Swindon to Newbury. We are also going to Bala offroad end of April, might see you on some lanes :)
The Wayfarer is worth driving if you havn't already done it.

I was supposed to be going on Thursday, but my wife bought me some tickets to seaworld for that date, so it might be Friday now. Not sure yet. The ridgeway through Swindon is mostly closed at the moment which is a shame. The only other lane here is the Fosseway, but it's not very exciting.
Little video I did there last week

Looks good, a friend of mine has just got a GoPro HD2 camera.
I haven't seen the route yet that we are doing but we usually do about 14 -16 small greenlanes on the way down, last year was good there was snow all the way :)

Sounds like fun!

Did you get to Salisbury? It took us 8 hours to get home due to blocked rads :(

Certianly did! Mine was dirty, but not quite that dirty!!

This is when I got home after a 80 mile drive.. Lots of time for the mud to bake.

Yeah that bit was deep. The guy in the Imber picture went in a bit too fast.. Straight over the windscreen! He had his heater on too, so he got a bit mucky inside!!.

LOL two of my friends tried it and both got stuck, we are all still removing mud from the inside :(
We are going to Wales next weekend camping near Stratta Florida. Looks like it's going to be cold............:(

Yeah Im still finding mud. Had to finally give in a wash my headlights out yesterday as I couldnt see a thing in the dark!

Hmm, Wales, camping, January...

Three words that should never meet.

Should be ok as long as it doesn't snow, rain or freeze :)

Shame, that thing was a beaut, even with the war wounds. The Disco is looking good though!

nice , wish there was somewhere in north wales to get my defender as dirty as that

are you people mad do you not realise these land rover things break down and need complete rebuilds after any sign of off road ,mud ,clay ,water, snow hills or tarmac , some decent images though :D

To be fair, I've been into offroading/greenlaning for the past 2 years and have only rebuilt mine 15 times :bang:
:) it's usually only silly things which pack up due to the abuse/neglect they get, if you keep on top of things they are quite reliable. I hope so as we are going to the Pyreneese later this year, and we go out most weekends.

No rebuilds yet, although its booked into a LR specialist on Thursday with a "do whatever it needs" note on the dashboard. :wacky:

I've seen these some where else recently (y)
This explains you're shots on D2Boys
