Two beautiful shots.

I didnt see much in the way of Humming bird hawk moths last year, but in 2011, i could be seen chasing these guys through the woods, trying to capture a few shots!!!
I did get several photos of them at rest/perched on both the ground, and foliage.

Stunning, especially with a 300mm and 1.4 x. Awaiting a replacement 7D as I couldn't get a sharp shot no matter how I tried.

Thanks guys, I think the humming bird shot was the 70-200 and the TC, though the large white was with the 300 f4. There is very little IQ loss with the 1.4 MIII TC, but it does slow the AF a lot even in good light on the 7D, less so on the 1D MIII.
Sharp is not a problem with my 7D, though getting the bugger to lock focus can be sometimes!
