Lens pouches for travel

Am I best getting some sort of lens pouch to put my lenses in for my holidays..if so any good ones or ones to avoid??

As opposed to what? What lenses do you have and how will you carry them without pouches?

Lowepro pouches! not only will they protect but they slip onto your belt for easy carrying etc (sliplock system)

Then as long as the camera bag has the usual/adequate padding, I don't see any point in putting the lenses in 'extra' pouches. I take it that you will not be putting your camera bag into an aircraft hold but (if you are flying) will keep it with you as hand luggage? I don't think a pouch will offer much protection from a baggage handler. If you haven't got room in your hand luggage, then slipping a lens into a pouch before dropping it into a pocket might not be a bad idea.

When I use pouches, that is what I use . I also find a pouch strapped/clipped to a bag can make for faster lens swapping.
