I am trying something different: shooting birds
in somewhat difficult light conditions…

What do you think?

I think you have done very well with the light here. It shows off the birds shape and there is great details in the feathers , overall a very fine set.

Of all the ones in this study, the 1st & 2nd (Coot) work well. The others (including those on a separate thread) lack the precision required to make them stand out and look purposeful (for me!). But it's fun to experiment and 'play' with light.

Thanks for your comment Des!

True is that exploring is fun but at the risk of getting
lost sometimes. For example, mastering the light con-
ditions is the very first step but once done, and you
recognized it very well, to get out some "purposeful"
images is not sure since this is unexplored territory.

Even in perfect light conditions, it is not so sure one will
get easily "purposeful" images!
