I took a trip to the Cromford Canal in Derbyshire today. I consider it to be a little bit of a gem because I don't go often and there isn't a lot there to see, but what is there is always worth seeing.

Difficult light but then it does mean it's a challenge. A really enjoyable shoot with these little guys.

Shot using a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 400mm f/5.6L lens.

Comments and critique most welcome.

They all seem to be pretty good to me Craig, nice and sharp subject in all shots. The only real critique for me would be that I prefer to have a lower PoV but I'm presuming you got as low as you could without actually getting in the water?

Yes the POV was a problem. It's a canal so the edges are raised above the water line. I was actually laying flat on my belly for these shots and looked a right state when I stood up!
