I did a test tonight uploading direct from PC with image #2 which is equally a sharp as #1 and both not as good as originals.

Yeh, there does seem to be an issue with posting pics on here recently. Somebody did say Marcel might have been doing some tweaks with the software on the site. It's probably a lite more noticeable with birds than with most other genres.
