Also visited Llanthony Priory this evening, first time visiting, not really over the moon with my results, but it did give me a good chance to use the new UWA 19-35 on full frame

Two good images I think the second image has the edge for me.

imho matt, now i have seen them on here, the skys need to be brought back a bit more, if you dont have filters (which i know you dont) then do two exposures, one for the sky and one for the building and merge them together in photoshop to give a more even balance.

i love the lighting on number one, in lightroom 5 you have the ability to get rid of the distortion introduced by the lens, which would dramatically improve it even more.

defiantly improving though mate well done
