Location Shoot - Off cam flash (strobist)

Been trying to process my photos taken a couple of weekends ago. Since getting some strobist gear and an opportunity to get using it, then having some new software to use. here are some of my results.

They aren't really in any order but are just ones that I liked the look of and processed with various levels of experimenting. (maybe I should post them separately?)

the background on the first two really suit the subject. The lighting is ok on all of them apart from the third with the annoying shadow on the left side of the males face

I like these, and the background is very cool.

With 1, the models pose bothers me. It seems very posed and un-natural. She doesn't seem to be facing the right way for where she is "spraying" and the completely outstretched arm doesn't seem quite right somhow. I like the lighting, it works very well to compliment the background and make it striking. The angle is a little uncomfortable to view IMO.

My fav is the last, I like the moody feel thats been captured, but I'm not sure her top suits the mood.

2 works very well, like that too.

Hi thanks for the comments.

Natjag - I agree completely with the harsh shadow on the models face/neck. something that still annoys me a bit. thanks for the comments. The lighting is ok and its something I'm desperately trying to work on.

Rob - Thanks for the comments also. The pose on no.1 is the models own pose, I wanted a strong pose with the spraycans, hmm.. i tend to agree with the angle as at the time I wanted something different and possibly could crop it down so the angles less?

Anyway those were an early try and quick conversion to get some uploaded. (hence the quality seemed to have reduced significantly)the following are the next batch that I have spent a bit more time on, but these have greater processing (these are to go with the more normal shots I have of similar compositions)
