Long Exposure Portrait

I did an engagement shoot recently and we stumbled upon this fantastic water feature, I just had to have a go at this.

What was the exposure time?

Thanks Ged, they loved the whole set. The time was 2s or so if I remember correctly. It took a couple attempts to get it.

I like this shot, and some of the others in the series, presumably you used an ND filter on this one ?

Hi Tel, No actually I just set the ISO to the L value on the 5d and the spot happenned to be shaded enough to pull this off. Thanks for the comment!

This is the sort of shot that some photographs will not warm too. However it is the type of shot the couple will absolutely LOVE. I did a similar shot years ago and fellow photographers were not keen and the couple bought a 36x24 canvas. Definitely a good spot for future shoots. By the way i love it!!

What camera, lens and settings did you use ?

Thank you, 5dmII and canon 28mm 1.8 but to be honest i would now aproach this slightly differently. For starters, bring some wellies so I could stand in the mud and water to get a better position.
