As above,I need some info if possible please all.

I need the following measurements for the mentioned lenses please.

1.End diameter of hood attached pointing forward.
2.End Diameter with hood stored,if the lens allows this.
3.Overall length of hood.

Nikon:
70-200 F2.8
200-400 F4 (1. and 2.) 132mm (3.) 125mm
300 F4 (1. and 2.) 90mm (3.) 65mm
300 F2.8 (1. and 2.) 134mm (3.) 122mm

It is just the hood dimensions you need.

200-400VR - Hood is parallel 130mm dia (132mm incl raised band that runs around it) x 125mm long (115mm between raised bands)

300 f4 AF-S - Hood is parallel (and a slide and lock affair) 90mm dia x 65mm long (incl the last 8mm that tapers back to the lens barrel)
 
Ade looking at your figures in red, those are some small lens hoods you have there ... or do you have the decimal points in the wrong place ... or have I misunderstood the question :D
 
Sigma 150-500 OS

Length overall (inc UV filter, front and rear caps [Nikon fit]) = 278mm (hood reversed)
Hood LOA = 102mm
Outside diameter of fat end of hood = 115mm
OD thin end of hood = 97mm
OD lens cap = 89

If sizing for a case, don't forget the tripod mount.

Foot length = 105mm
Height (inc Manfrotto RC2 QR plate) 143mm
 
Canon 70-200 F4 102, 90,80

100-400 117,102,96

If I have done it right.
 
Canon 500mm f4L Width of hood 160mm. Overall length of hood 177mm

Canon 300mm 2.8L Width of hood 145mm.Overall length of hood 145mm.

Both hoods will reverse on the lens for storage with no significant difference in width.

No,not making lens hoods but something along those lines.SHould be up and running in a week or two.

No longer have one to measure but the Canon 400/4 has the same hood as the 300/2.8 IS - which I presume is the 300/2.8 you have measured.

If I had that sort of brass,you think i`d be asking for measuring by others or measuring myself?.........:LOL:
 
You could pop down jessops with a tape measure? :LOL:

The hood is in two stages - the end bit is 75mm, but the overall hood length is c.154mm
