Hi there, I am a writer, artist, and photographer who put my camera on the shelf a number of years ago (I have been posting some of my older stuff, so check out my profile and galleries if you are interested in work I did a while back). I have been writing my whole life and I wanted to focus -- in my free time between my full-time job, kids, etc. -- on writing. I am in the process of getting ready to publish my first novel in the first half of 2021. I am working on a short film with another artist and filmmaker.
I am also working on a number of short stories and essays. While I have done no "serious" photography in the last few years, I am still committed to seeing good photographers succeed. I was wondering if there were any artists/photographers out there that might want to collaborate with me.
My novel is a work of Science Fiction, and my short stories will be mostly in the Horror, Science Fiction, and erotic fiction (still thinking on this one). I do write about adult themes, demons, the devil, murder, sex and sexuality, etc. So if that isn't your cup of tea, then this is probably not a good fit. You can read some of my essays and the fiction I have up there now (I am doing an iterative project of revising the same story in multiple versions so readers can see the work in progress). I launched my site in December.
Here is what I am thinking:
- I want to showcase individual artists/photographers for my essays and short stories. For the most part I am using free stock photography with attribution right now, but I really want to showcase great photographers like the members here on this site.
- I would like to collaborate with the artist and can provide them the outline or draft of one of my short stories.
- I would put a page that links to your website, social media, etc. and also provides a brief description of you and the type of work you do on my website. (This will help with your SEO for your own web presence.)

I am open to all forms of photography. It can be literal, abstract, whatever you think. We can collaborate together, or you are welcome to bring your own vision to the piece I write.
Initially, I am looking for work to accompany the short-stories because the essays move a little more quickly. But if you like the idea of providing photos for my essays, we can talk about that too. My goal is to help raise the profile of photographers and help them get noticed while having something interesting and fun to work on with me.
