Sometimes its not all about the light, shots of raptors out in hunting in snow don't come along everyday, this is a bit special (y)
 
Yes, very special indeed, what a lovely image, you've made something wonderful out of bleak conditions. Is there a little more space to be had on the right in the original file? Nothing wrong with the composition as is, I'm just thinking a little more room in front would be nice too.

All due respect for this as it is though, fantastic work.
 
Agree with the others Kev,going out to shoot wildlife in mad blizzard type conditions has to be some form of madness,but if one gets just a chance of putting something in the viewfinder and actually manages the shot which you have,admirably,then if really makes for a cracking image. It's amazing how quickly one forgets the conditions when one gets back with something,especially like the above ,I can only dream of that !!
