Milly is a short-term terrarium guest of mine at the moment.
(I did go out today but all the flying things must be hiding from me Apart from a couple of red-tailed bumble bees resulting in no decent pic and nettle rash, not a hint of anything).
This is my second use of the reversed Pentax SMC-A 50mm and so far, it looks to be better than the Tak I was using before. 35mm of manual tubes.
I should be getting auto tubes in the next few weeks, so I'll not be able to pass the buck any more

I've no idea of the maths but almost halving the tube length I normally use to get a true 1:1 certainly gives a lot more apparent DoF. I think this is the way to go for me, especially with relatively large creepy-crawlies
