Yes
I`m after a mini tripod and i was just wondering what everyone else was using and what you recommend ?

Ive seen a few on internet searches but you can`t beat recommendations.

For what it's worth, i've got a little Velbon 460 mini. Pretty good for what it does, but can get a bit top heavy in portrait stance with a D300 and 105 VR mounted.

I have a Gorillapod (the SLR Zoom model), and really like it - the ability to wrap it round things or adjust to uneven surfaces is fantastic.

Depends on your budget. The one I would eventually love is either the Gitzo GT3320BS or the Really Right Stuff TP-243. Both quite pricey though.

Is this the one your using ?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Velbon-Mini...5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1251236025&sr=8-5

Its on their website as well

Jacobs are advertising them at £14.50 delivered, that would be ideal as i`m just after something thats cheap and cheerful yet sturdy with good feedback from users, a couple of posters on amazon have left good feedback for this Velbon mini tripod.

Thanks, i`m leaning towards the one on the link i posted which is made by Velbon as well like yours, you can`t really go wrong at £15 delivered, i`m only a novice at photography so i doubt i would notice any difference if i bought one of the more expensive mini tripods that are available. :D

I got mine here used. But for £15, go for it (y)

I always carry a little Manfrotto 709B DIGI mini tripod in my camera bag. Small, very rigid, great ball head. It's saved the day many times over. It's very low profile, so you can't swing the camera round to shoot in portrait mode.

I got a SLIK MINI PRO V, very sturdy, I only got it because a camera shop was selling up, paid about £10/12, tried it a couple of times, not very safe with a longish lens on though
