Monitor advice please

IMO should be OK with W10 and under £200 on Amazon. Though for your peace of mind check with the supplier or Asus for confirmation.

Having said that it appears it has limited setting capability in respect of colour temperature and according to one reviewer it does not achieve 100% blacks I.e. just(?) very dark grey? But its 100% sRGB is good.

My 3 year old LG works quite happily with my ancient XP desktop via VGA and my Win10 laptop via HDMI. I just wish there was a way of using a switch with it so I could have both computers running, other than using a HDMI-VGA Adaptor and VGA cable on the laptop.

Vga switches are a thing.

Although where possible I'd always prefer a digital connection such as dvi, hdmi or display port as it gives a better picture.

Yes, looked into a switch, both VGA and KVM, but the inputs are VGA OR HDMI but not both, hence the comment about the HDMI to VGA adaptor. For what it would cost, I'm looking at just buying a second monitor. Small IPS monitors are not that expensive.
