There was a time when colour film was cheap (2 for a pound at one point) while BW was way more. So lots of people used BW developing chemicals for their cheap colour film, saving the decent stuff for best. It's a simple process (simply develop as you would for normal BW film) but you do have to remember to add about 10% to 15% extra time to the actual dev stage. More if you want harsh. Here's the film being "scanned" :naughty:

I use a remote cos that tripod is - well it isn't really...


This was a 400 tesco colour film I found in a camera from at least 12 years ago from a trip to Devon I think. As I said elsewhere, you get a bit of harshness, and a bit more grain (which is a good thing in some cases and could be looked upon as another useful tool) but the grain can be smoothed with a naughty unsharp mask :eek::police::police::police:

Most will do it, the thing is it is a quick and dirty option so personally I have not gone deeply into different techniques/times/chemicals - sorry ;)
