#1 for me Robin, it has something about it that is very appealing ... I like the path taking you through the image and the walkers add a dimension to it as does the symmetry of the white rails - sky is a bonus too.

I'm not sure about #2

quite like the first, maybe increase the contrasts of those gorgeous clouds ? Make it more dramatic.
