Yes
Canon said to send the camera to one of its repairers.
I phoned the repairers to check they received the camera, they had and it has been sent to the workshop for investigation.
Turnaround time, approx 2 weeks.
So, for an aviation photographer, this is poo as i now might have to face going to the 2 biggest airshows in England Sans Camera.
Imm gonna cry:crying:
Dean:(

i've just been to your website - nice photos - where and when are the shows

where are you based?

thats pretty shocking..... get another 40D 2 boddies :)

Rent one?

Buy one, look after it well and sell it on the bay after?

Beg steal or borrow one?

I know if you have the pro level insurance from photoguard they'll provide a rental camera if you claim on your insurance?

Looks like i might be able to borrow a friends camera for the 2 days. One thing for sure, next year may well see a 1D winging its way to me, so i can use the 40D as a back up body.
Sportysnaps - Flying Legends 12-07-08, Fairford 13-07-08, im based in Maidenhead. Thanks for the comment about my website.
Dean:)
