My A1GP friday

Practice day at Brands for A1GP.

To be honest I think this is pretty boring racing really... they tried to improve on F1 and somehow only managed to make it less interesting!

So, after deciding last year's whole car shots were pretty dull, I decided to have a go at some tight shots... Its a little experimental and I'd love to hear your thoughts on these.

I reckon these close crops work better with whacky angles personally. The Dutch car is nicely lit but it's going uphill with the tilt which loses some of the sense of speed. I'm still undecided !

The front wing on the Czech car looks like it's been on the Hekla.

not sure why but number 4 works best for me
number 5 would have been better if it concentrated on the broken front wing

Yeah I think some angle would have been better, but it was all I could do on the day to concentrate on the tight shot.... maybe next time I can remember the angle too!

I did think the very same thing when I went through them afterwards...

Oh and Gary, I hadn't even noticed the broken wing until I read your post just now LOL!! Maybe that's why I didn't concentrate on it

Much better! I love close ups of bike racers but not car drivers, dunno why lol!

Yeah i like number 4 best, just a shame it wasnt going around a corner towards you with the driver looking your way.
