Hi all

Just thought i'd share this with you.

I got my first macro lens for xmas its a pentax 100mm f4 macro mf

Still getting used to this lens and no-where near the standards of most of the images I have seen in here.

No real exif data available as it was shot in manual on a mf lens

C+C more than welcome don't be afraid to be harsh its the only way I will learn

Thanks for looking

Colours and composition are great but the image looks a tad soft. The mp-e 65mm macro is a manual focus lens too and is reckoned to be one of the best on the market so no worries there. I use the rocking back and forward technique to achieve focus. HTH

Thanks Rhod :D

I'll be getting out and about again at some point this week, will try and crack the focus :)

Not tryed the rocking technique will give it a go (y)

Yup that rocking technique makes the difference once you start using it mate!

as said above a lil soft but nice composition etc :)

Nice composition but it is a tad soft. Im presuming this was natural light. It would be helpful to know what the shutter speed was as im assuming this was shot handheld?

Rock! Rock! Rock! And I'm not talking AC/DC :)

1 or 2 dust bunnies creeping in there and just a little noisy. I'm guessing this is a tight crop?

Thanks for all the comments apprecitate it (y)

Alliec yeah it was all natural light shot at

1/320 sec
ISO 200
And yes it was Handheld

Not sure on the apeture though:(

Flunter it is a crop but not a overly massive one, I hadn't noticed the noise untill you pointed it out

As for the dust bunnies I think I have now found them :)
