Cracking shot, the dof is just right, the light is good, composition is good, it's sharp and the exposure is spot on. Love the subject too

John, what was your setup for this shot? It looks as though the light wasn't that bright, but you've managed to freeze the action without the noise. I guess you're using a nice fast lens for this?

That's an amazing shot, I love my springer, but he's a B&W so I find him difficult to get the balance right when trying to photograph him.

These are cracking shots John. We've got spaniels, a working cocker and a springer, and I know just how difficult it can be to get a good shot bit that exactly what you've done. Well not just good but b****y good. The first one is superb - one of the best I've seen of an ESS.
