Beginner Need some help with identity of this Duck ?

Took this picture as part of a set today but I am having no luck Identifying its species ? I am thinking its a female, someone there at the time suggested it was a Mallard !

Mallard Hybrid by the look of it, possibly a bit of Gadwall in there somewhere ... Mallards can be like a box of Liquorice Allsorts!

Yeah, it’s not a wild duck species. Domestic ducks often hybridise with wild duck species with results like this.

Thanks, I feel better now that I was stumped. Books all over the table and google on red alert. Hybrid makes perfect sense.
