I went for a drive yesterday. It was fun, but I didn't quite make it to my final destination in good time for the blue hour. A long traffic jam Saturday evening certainly didn't help; and finding a parking space was a nightmare. So I did what I could to make the most of the night and scout the location.

I also noted that 24-70mm is not nearly wide enough for the shots I wanted to create. Oh, well everything will need better planning for the next time should I commit myself again. Maybe if I can fit in St. Mary's lighthouse this will be an interesting day out.

The colour version - however I prefer toned BW.

I like the toned b&w of #1, although #4 has its place too.
I'd clone out that half light burst in #2 rhs

1st for me too, looks almost like the water is iced over :)

I found for the Quayside the 24-70 a fine lens.

Its IMHO Britains best waterfront. You need a reflection to make it work. 2 works and the B&W processing right for the night scene. None of the others work for me bar 2.
